The schedule for the twenty-second White Squirrel Weekend has been released for the annual three-day downtown celebration of live music, local flavor, and small-town charm this Memorial Day weekend.
More than 30,000 visitors are expected to attend the event organized by the Heart of Brevard downtown merchants’ association to shop with regional craft and retail vendors, food trucks, and local breweries.
Festivities kick off with food and beverage vendors taking to the streets at 5 p.m on Friday, May 22, with live music beginning at 5:30 p.m. Alabama’s four-piece modern bluegrass band Mountain Grass Unit will end the first night of concerts.
Saturday’s street festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. with main stage performances beginning at 4 p.m. Colorado’s all-female four-piece bluegrass supergroup Big Richard will close out that evening’s music.
Sunday’s events will begin at 10 a.m. and continue with a local bluegrass showcase, followed by Travis Book and Friends to end the three-day weekend’s festivities.
