Spring Shakedown at Oskar Blues has a full and funky lineup scheduled for 1-8 p.m. Saturday at the Brevard brewery’s taproom. Oskar Blues
Spring is in the air and it will certainly be watfing through Oskar Blues’ Brevard Brewery Saturday when the free aural pleaure festival known as Spring Shakedown gets cooking.
The seasonal showcase of music, brews and good vibes gets underway at 342 Mountain Industrial Drive with various food trucks and local artists selling their wares at the Shakedown Street market just before the music begins at 1 p.m. with the rock, jazz, funk of Jacoozy on the main stage.
Progressive bluegrass quartet Magoo will follow at 2:30. Natalie Brooke is scheduled to start rocking at 4:15 and Indiana powerhouse psychedelic jam band Dizgo will melt minds before The Motel presents Funk is Dead, the music of The Grateful Dead funkified and energized, starting at 8 p.m. Local band Quack Shack will play the side stage the entire time.
Limited parking is available near the brewery and there is free shuttle service from downtown Brevard and select hotels. Pets are not allowed inside the venue, and coolers, professional recording equipment, drones, glass containers as well as illegal or illicit substances, explosives and fireworks are prohibited.
