Since the second week of school, Shade Cooper’s animal science and natural resources classes at Rosman High School have moved barn equipment, swept and cleaned the school’s barn in anticipation of hosting members of the Transylvania County Cattlemen’s Association for their 50th annual meeting on Thursday, Sept. 24.
The students worked hard loading and unloading tables and chairs and putting out decorations to turn the barnyard into a place for 65 community members to gather, eat, and reflect on 50 years of fellowship and farming.
Ten members of the Rosman Future Farmers of America helped guests park and shared about group’s upcoming events before serving the meal to guests at the Cattlemen’s Association meeting.
