Retired professional photographer David Simchock will discuss “Photography in the Garden” Tuesday, May 12th from 10 a.m. to 11 am. in the Community Services Conference Room of the NC Cooperative Extension at 106 E. Morgan St, Brevard.

This free talk sponsored by Transylvania County Extension Master Gardeners will help gardeners of all levels learn how to better use their cameras in effective ways in the garden. It is part of the monthly program of talks and demonstrations that interest Master Gardeners, amateur gardeners, and the public at large.

Simchock’s award-winning images have been featured in publications around the world, but he will show how any type of camera can be used to photograph not just our flowers or vegetables but also insects, birds,process and the larger landscape. He will also cover how to processes and archival photography so that the image is cropped or color adjusted, and that the final product is stored safely
