Beer aficionados and fans of grassroots radio are invited to attend a special Oskar Blues and Noblebraü Brewing collaboration beer release and free WNCW listener appreciation party the afternoon of Saturday, May 30th at Oskar Blues Brevard Taproom.
In addition to being able to ingest a new local beer specifically brewed for listeners of the powerhouse public radio station broadcasting from the campus of Isothermal Community College in Spindale, N.C., those in attendance can hear local live music (Caitlin Krisko acoustic from 2-3:30 p.m. and The Feels Trio from 6-8 p.m.) while trying to win raffle and door prizes* from all of the event sponsors.
*Raffle tickets will be $5 each or four for $20. Some of the items that will be raffled off are weekend passes for two to the Earl Scruggs Music Festival (Sept. 4-6, Mill Spring, N.C.) and tickets to upcoming concerts by Rhiannon Giddons with Mavis Staples, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and Hurray for the Riff Raff at the new Hellbender venue in Asheville and Jimmy Buffett’s Corral Reefer Band in Charlotte.
