FIND Outdoors
FIND Outdoors will host the “Bioluminescence in Western North Carolina” lecture on June 11th, 2026, to allow guests to learn more about the unique glowing organisms that call our area home.
The lecture will begin promptly at 6 p.m. when Dr. Jennifer Frick-Ruppert, Dalton Professor of Biology and Environmental Science at Brevard College, will explain all about the native fireflies, railroad worms, touch-wood, foxfire, and other creatures that glow in the dark.
The event is free, open to the public and includes two complimentary alcoholic beverages and light snacks. RSVPs may be made at
