The city of Brevard has been nominated in Blue Ridge Outdoors Magazine’s Top Adventure Towns online poll.

Round one of voting is underway through midnight on Sunday, August 23rd and Brevard has a competitive advantage in that it won first place in the small town category last year.

Transylvania County Tourism Development Authority Director Clark Lovelace hopes you will consider casting an online ballot and ask your friends and neighbors to do the same to advance our hometown into the next round of voting.

“We’re excited to have once again been nominated as a Top Adventure Town by Blue Ridge Outdoors,” Lovelace said in an email to Transylvania County business leaders Thursday. “As you may recall, we took the #1 spot last year. Let’s make it happen again this year!’

The magazine selects 100 towns for consideration and sorts them into categories based on the size of the municipality before online voting narrows each category down to the final nominations.

This is the 16th year of the online contest. Brevard is one of 25 candidates for “Top Adventure Towns” in North Carolina, Maryland, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
