BRCC announces Auto and Truck Show on Sept. 19

Students in Blue Ridge Community College’s Automotive Technology program get hands-on experience learning a trade. Proceeds from the Sept. 19 Auto and Truck show on the Transylvania County campus will benefit students competing in future SkillsUSA contests. BRCC

Fans of classic cars and unique vehicles will want to put things in park at Blue Ridge Community College’s Transylvania County Campus on Sept. 19 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. for an inaugural Auto and Truck Show.

The event will be hosted by the Great Smoky Mountain Region and Little Detroit Chapter of the Antique Automobile Club of America. For this show, there will be a $20 show vehicle registration fee with check-in from 9 – 11 a.m. Spectator parking will be free. Twenty awards covering all categories will be awarded at the event. 

Free to the viewing public, all proceeds from vehicle entry fees will support students enrolled in Blue Ridge’s Automotive Technology program as they compete in SkillsUSA automotive competitions.

For those who cannot attend but still want to support the students, checks are accepted for the Blue Ridge Community College Scholarship Fund. Contributors should add “BRCC Automotive Scholarship Fund” in the memo line and mail checks to: Blue Ridge Community College, Transylvania County Campus, 45 Oak Park Drive, Brevard, NC 28712.
