Information supplied by Blue Ridge Community College Adult Education and Literacy Coordinator
The Adult Education Department at Blue Ridge Community College’s Transylvania County campus provides English language learning programs for multilingual learners to strengthen their reading and math skills in preparation for career advancement or continuing their education through specific curriculum paths.
One such student is Emmett McCall, who has been a dedicated Adult Education who enrolled in the basic skills courses in April 1, in spite of the fact that he is in his 70s and often the most senior student in those classes.
McCall’s instructor Danielle Fox said he has demonstrated consistent attendance, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude throughout his time working with BRCC and for that reason Blue Ridge Commujnity College is proud to recognize Emmett McCall for his hard work, commitment, and dedication to achieving his goals.
