On Wednesday, May 6, four local leaders from the manufacturing, non-profit, business and art arenas who have shaped our collective past and present will share their views on the future and want to hear yours as well.
The “Four Chairs Forum: Lessons from Leaders” will take place at the Mary C. Jenkins Community and Cultural Center from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and each of the following speakers will discuss how the vital role their organization plays in our economy, how their lives changed last year and what they want to happen in 2026 and beyond:

David Watkins, CEO KEIR Manufacturing, Inc.

Tom Dempsey, Founder and CEO, SylvanSport

Jason Posnock, President and CEO, Brevard Music Center

Shelly Webb, Executive Director, Sharing House
Moderator Terry Decker (president of Deckerheads Enterprises data analytics) will lead these presenters through a brief discussion of how 2025 changed their world and how they think 2026 might change our shared future.
Each speaker was chosen because they have the ability to realistically assess their field and listen to your questions about what might come next for all of us.
There will be additional commentary by Brevard Mayor Maureen Copelof, Transylvania County Commissioner Larry Chapman, and Brevard Police Chief Christy Wentzell before all involved listen to and take questions from the community members in attendance.
The “Four Chairs Forum” was created by Transylvania County residents Bryan O’Neill, Jim Hardy, Terry Decker, and Tom Sweeny with the hope of fostering a seriously fun dialogue about the “Land of Wateralls” and all those who struggle and thrive within close distance of its tributaries.
