The American Association for Retired Persons and the City of Brevard are sponsoring two events on April 24th to help avoid fraud and safeguard individuals’ personal information.
There will be a one-hour presentation on recent fraud scams at the Jimmy Harris Railroad Depot Park from noon to 1 p.m. Pre-registration is required as space is limited. The AARP is also providing a free lunch for attendees following the presentation.
A shredding truck will be available on site from 1 to 4 p.m. for the disposal of personal documents. Local residents are welcome to come by and shred sensitive documents. There is no preregistration requirement for the shredding.
