The Transylvania County Library and Transylvania County DSS are excited to present History Day with speaker and local historian Marcy Thompson on Monday, Nov. 2nd at 10:30 a.m. in the Rogow Room of the Library.
This event is part of the monthly Memory Café social gathering for those experiencing early-stage Alzheimer’s, dementia or mild memory loss, and for their accompanying family, friends or care partners. Memory Cafés take place on the first Monday of each month at the Library to offer community and socialization to those facing memory loss as part of the aging process.
The meeting will run for an hour and Therapy dogs from 5 Paws Therapy Group will be on hand the entire time to greet attendees. Coffee and light refreshments will be provided. Registration in pairs is suggested, but not required.
Other resources, including information from the Alzheimer’s Association and Transylvania County DSS, will be available to take home. Please contact the Library at (828) 884-3151 or check the Library’s events calendar for more information.
