Brevard College’s annual Trick or Treat for Cans will take place Sunday, Oct. 25, from 2 to 4 p.m.
Student-athletes from the College’s 21 athletic teams will go door-to-door throughout the Brevard community collecting canned goods and nonperishable food items to benefit The Sharing House.
The event is part of the USA South Athletic Conference’s Cans Across the Conference initiative. Community members may also drop off donations this month at Boshamer Gymnasium on the Brevard College campus.
In 2025, Brevard College collected 17,694 items, the fifth-highest total in the initiative’s history, to finish second in the competition.
Across USA South last year, member institutions collected 59,904 items, the third-highest total in the program’s history.
During its 21-year history, USA South institutions have donated 719,503 items to various local organizations.
