Brevard College Athletics has announced the 17th Annual BC Tornados Open at Lake Toxaway Country Club raised more than $30,000 to support Brevard College student-athletes and the school’s 21 athletic programs.
Organizers said the Sept. 21 event marked the most successful BC Tornados Open since its inception as alumni, community members, corporate partners, and supporters of BC Athletics hit the local links in record numbers to invest in the future of Brevard College Athletics.
“The success of this year’s BC Tornados Open is a tremendous reflection of the generosity and commitment of our community and our supporters,” said Associate Vice President for Athletics at Brevard College Dr. Myranda Crews in a news release. “To surpass $30,000 and set a new fundraising record for this event is incredibly meaningful. These dollars directly support opportunities for our student-athletes and our athletic programs, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who helped make this year’s event such a success.”
