Members of the Brevard / Transylvania Chamber of Commerce launched confetti in the air and cut a ceremonial ribbon on Sept.18 to celebrate the reopening of SAFE’s Attic thrift store located at 300 Broad Street in downtown Brevard.
SAFE Inc. of Transylvania County is a non-profit dedicated to the prevention of domestic and sexual abuse through education, intervention and outreach. SAFE supports victims of domestic and/or sexual abuse in the community in need of physical, emotional and mental care by giving them a safe space, offering confidential services and providing consistent advocacy.
SAFE previously operated two downtown thrift store to directly support its mission to serve survivors of domestic and sexual violence where every purchase, donation, and volunteer hour helped fund services to individuals and families in need. In August those two locations were consolidated into the main thrift store on Broad Street, which is open Tuesday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
