The Brevard High School Lady Devils flag football team will host its first-ever home game on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at Brevard Memorial Stadium.
Kickoff for the event dubbed “Queens of the Turf Showcase” is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. and will feature the Lady Devils facing teams from Erwin and North Buncombe high schools.
The BHS women’s flag football program debuted Sept. 9 with a doubleheader, defeating North Buncombe 37-0 and Erwin 39-13. The two wins gave the team 76 points across its first two games and an undefeated start to its inaugural season.
Game operations for the night, including officials and security, will cost $750. Brevard High School is asking local businesses and community members to help sponsor the event, either in full or in part.

Admission to the Sept. 30 game will be free for students, families, and community members.
