Brevard College has been recognized among the nation’s Best Colleges by U.S. News & World Report, charting at No. 16 among “Regional Colleges in the South” in a move up from No. 30 in last year’s rankings. The local liberal arts school also ranks No. 14 among the publication’s “Top Private Regional Colleges in the South” in the organization’s 2027 Best Colleges assessment.
“The latest rankings from U.S. News & World Report are an encouraging reflection of Brevard College’s continued progress,” Brevard College President Dr. Bradley J Andrews remarked in a news release. “The rise of 14 places in the rankings reflects the continued work of our faculty and staff to provide an experiential liberal arts education and help each student reach their full potential. We are proud of what Brevard College continues to accomplish and remain focused on building on this momentum.”
U.S. News & World Report’s rankings add to a recent record of recognition for Brevard College, which currently enrolls 790 full-time undergraduate students. The college recently introduced new academic programs in Artificial Intelligence Management and Engineering Science, along with new graduate programs and an annual undergraduate research conference.
“These rankings highlight the strength of the Brevard College experience,” added Brevard College Vice President of Admissions and Financial Aid Dr. Chad Holt in the same news release. “Our students benefit from an education grounded in personal attention, experiential learning, and close faculty-student relationships, all of which help prepare them for success after graduation.”
The U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings provide prospective students and their families with information to compare colleges and universities across the United States. The 2027 rankings evaluated institutions using 17 factors related to academic quality and graduate success.
