Dr. Steve Matthis, Dean for the School of Agriculture and Biological Sciences at the University of Mount Olive, will be the guest speaker for the Transylvania Cattleman’s Association’s 50th anniversary to be held at the Rosman High School farm on Thursday, Sept. 24.
The purpose of the Transylvania County Cattlemen’s Association is to advocate for animal agriculture and educate livestock producers and consumers.
Cattleman Dwight Parker will also be exhibiting his working stock dogs. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m.
This event is open to anyone interested in livestock. The meal is free; membership in the Association is $20 per person, $30 per family.
