The public is invited to attend a special senior connection event to learn how to improve individuals’ health and wellness at the Mary C. Jenkins Community and Cultural Center from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26.
To stay proactive about their health needs and concerns, participants will learn about cardiovascular disparities among the population, offered opportunities for free blood pressure and glucose screenings, and given suggestions on how to manage the stress from everyday life.
This event is sponsored by the Institute for Preventive Healthcare and Advocacy. A light lunch will be provided for guests.
The Mary C. Jenkins Community and Cultural Center is located at 221 Mills Avenue in the Rosenwald Community of Brevard near Silversteen Park.
