Join FWRD Transylvania and community partners Smart Start, Mary C. Jenkins Community Center, Transylvania County, SAFE Inc. of Transylvania County, Sharing House, and SparkPoint on Saturday, Aug. 29, for a free family-friendly community resource fair at the Transylvania County Parks & Recreation Center.
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. guests are invited to connect with local organizations, learn about community resources and services, and enjoy free gift giveaways while learning how to keep their families safe and prepared in the event of an emergency.
The Hunger Coalition will conduct a free food distribution and there will be free slushies for all children.
At 1 p.m. there is a raffle for a 300 watt solar generator with a 110 watt solar panel, but you must be present to win.
Come explore local resources, meet representatives from community partner organizations, and help build a stronger, more resilient Transylvania County.
The Transylvania County Parks & Recreation Center is located at 1078 Ecusta Road behind Pisgah Forest Elementary School and the Davidson River School.
