UNC Health Pardee is pleased to welcome Christopher Tries, a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, to the behavioral health team at Pardee BlueMD located at 277 N. Broad St. in Brevard.
Tries, PMHNP, is focused on assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with mental health and substance abuse disorders.
“I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who is focused on assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with mental health and substance use disorders across the lifespan,” Tries wrote on the UNC Health website. “My philosophy of patient care is to help patients find, define, and reach their own definition of mental and physical health.”
Tries earned his Bachelor of Science degree in nursing at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and became a board-certified psychiatric mental health practitioner through his Masters studies at South College.
He is accepting new behavioral health patients at Pardee BlueMD, a federally-qualified health center partnered with Blue Ridge Health in Buncome, Henderson and Transylvania, but currently only sees patients at the Brevard location. To schedule an appointment, call 828-435-8400.
