Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina has announced the upcoming relocation and expansion of its Brevard retail store.
The new store, located at 301 Hendersonville Highway, is a short mile and a half from the current site and features an expanded layout more than 300 square feet larger than the previous building off Asheville Highway, according to a news release.
The previous tenant on Hendersonville Highway was a Dollar General location, but the renovated property will feature optimized space to accommodate an influx of daily merchandise greater than what the resale business was able to offer before.
“We are incredibly eager to welcome Brevard shoppers into this larger space,” said Director of Marketing and Communications for Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina Renee Rohrer in a news release. “By expanding our footprint slightly and moving just down the road, we are able to provide a much cleaner, safer, and dynamic environment for our regular donors and customers. The transition sale allows our current guests to get incredible value while giving our team a blank canvas to pack the new location with fresh inventory.”
To facilitate a smooth relocation, Goodwill Industries of Northwest NC is hosting an inventory clearance transition sale at the old location. Brevard shoppers can enjoy storewide discounts of between 25 percent to 75 percent off existing clothing and home décor until the location closes.
The Asheville Highway location will remain open through its final operational day on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. Following the temporary closure for the relocation process, the new Brevard store will officially open to the public on Thursday, June 25, 2026.
Grand opening celebrations kick off with a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. doors to give early-bird shoppers first access to premium, unique treasures and quality everyday goods.
Purchases and donations at the new Brevard location will directly support Goodwill’s mission to fund employment and training programs. These resources help thousands of individuals across Western North Carolina secure sustainable jobs and achieve financial independence.
